I've known for some time now that an incredibly extensive system of tunnels and crypts criss-crossed the limestone depths of Paris, but I've never seen a good, first-hand account of those tunnels in the dark until now. Here's a National Geographic writer's story of exploring the underworld.

aw man i wanted to visit these when i was in paris a few years back but couldn't bc they were closed at the time...i guess they have to keep them from falling apart huh...anyway, if i ever go to europe again i wanna see these..! hint
